Sun Moon Lake passes issued for the first time |
(中央社訊息服務20100819 15:47:58) To encourage visitors to spend more time at Sun Moon Lake and make their visit more convenient and cheaper, the area’s local gondola, yacht, bus, fun park, bicycle and electric car leasing companies have joined together to issue the first joint ticket for visits to Sun Moon Lake.
The “Sun Moon Lake Water-Land-Air Travel Pass” is being issued in conjunction with a scenic spot shuttle bus service. The pass will offer not only convenience to travelers, but discounts and detailed transport information. Hopefully, this will encourage visitors to stay a few days to explore Sun Moon Lake in depth.
The NT$299 blue pass includes a gondola ticket, a one-way boat ticket from Shuishe to Yidashao, a one-day ticket for the round-Sun Moon Lake bus, a voucher for a free one hour Giant bicycle test ride, and a 20% discount on hiring an electric car. Holders can also exchange a stamp from a temple visit for a special Sun Moon Lake souvenir. The blue pass is suited for people who have made their own way to Sun Moon Lake.
Visitors who require a shuttle bus from Taichung to the lake can choose to buy the NT$899 green pass. The green pass’ special offers also include a return ticket on the tourist shuttle bus that operates between Taichung and Sun Moon Lake and a ticket for the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village.
